A Powerful Day of Motivating Ideas to Lift Up Every Member of Your Team and Drive Results!
"Page after page of actionable thoughts and strategies — an idea fest!"
Over 2,000 people have attended our leadership events in Guam, many of them coming year after year because they recognized the great value of recharging their batteries, plus stocking up on useful ideas and tactics to improve their jobs, teams — and organizations.
Now, we've renewed our relationship with The John Maxwell Company, and are excited to present to Guam their annual leadership and personal development event: Live2Lead.
It's the usual high quality lineup of speakers that our events have been known for. Each person a world class authority at the top of their game, and we benefit from their expertise.
A Brief Sample from Last Year's Live2Lead
Meet the Speakers:
John C. Maxwell
"A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."

Maxwell, the #1 New York Times bestselling author, coach, and speaker who has sold more than 30 million books, has been identified as the #1 leader in business by the American Management Association® and the world’s most influential leadership expert by Business Insider and Inc. magazine. Dr. Maxwell has also received the Horatio Alger Award, as well as the Mother Teresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership from the Luminary Leadership Network. His organizations—The John Maxwell Company, The John Maxwell Team, EQUIP, and the John Maxwell Leadership Foundation—have trained millions of leaders from every nation in the world.
"Success isn't about how high you fly. Success is about how high you bounce."
Rachel Hollis is a #1 New York Times & #1 USA Today Bestselling Author, a top business podcaster and one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the world. As a bestselling author and wildly successful lifestyle influencer she has built a global social media fanbase in the millions. Known as “the Tony Robbins for women” because of her motivational, high energy style and her unique ability to empower and embolden a female audience. She’s a proud working mama of four and a big fan of the small town in Texas hill country that the Hollis family calls home.
"Everyone talks about building a relationship with your customer. I think you build one with your employees first."
Angela Ahrendts was most recently Senior Vice President of Apple Retail based in Cupertino, CA. During her five years she integrated Apple's physical and digital businesses to create a seamless customer journey for over a billion visitors a year. Before her transition to Apple, Angela served at Burberry as Chief Executive Officer for nearly nine years where her leadership focus on culture, values and positive energy resulted in tripling the business and quadrupling the share price. Angela has consistently been recognized by Forbes, Fortune and the BBC as a Top 100 Global Executive and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ralph Lauren Corp. and Airbnb, and a Well Member with charity: water.
"Somebody somewhere is waiting on you to become what you were destined to be. Keep growing forward!"
Chris Hogan is the #1 national best-selling author of Everyday Millionaire and Retire Inspired: It’s Not an Age. It’s a Financial Number. For over a decade, Hogan has served at Ramsey Solutions, spreading a message of hope and financial peace across the country as a financial coach and Ramsey Personality. Hogan helps people plan for their future and reach their retirement goals through his Retire Inspired Podcast and live speaking events. As an All-American football player and national champion in college, Hogan understands teamwork and speaks to organizations nationwide on how to effectively run and grow their businesses. Prior to joining Ramsey Solutions, Hogan was the vice president of a well-respected company helping clients manage their money and their companies.
"The opposite of a leader isn't a follower. The opposite of a leader is a pessimist."
Marcus Buckingham is a best-selling author, global researcher, and "strengths revolutionist." Building on nearly two decades of experience as a Senior Researcher at Gallup Organization, he currently guides the vision of ADP Research Institute as Head of People + Performance research. He founded The Marcus Buckingham Company in 2006 with a clear mission: to instigate a “strengths revolution.” It started, as all revolutions do, with the simplest of ideas: that when people spend the majority of each day on the job using their greatest talents and engaged in their favorite tasks, basically doing exactly what they want to do, both they and their organizations will win.
Jerry Roberts: Host
"A leader really isn't a leader until someone chooses to follow and gives their best."
Jerry Roberts is the Western Pacific's #1 voice for leadership, best practices for managers, and overall workplace transformation. He has written some 25 training courses, and has published over 1,500 articles and commentaries. Roberts is heard every morning at 7:20 a.m. on The Point's Ray Gibson Show (93.3 FM), delivering an upbeat three-minute commentary — "The Extra Point" — that focuses on key workplace issues. Still Have Questions?
Click below for answers to some that are frequently asked:
Who is this event for?
Managers at every level of your organization, other key staffers who may be "team leaders" but not formally a part of management, plus those people you are considering for promotion in the future. Live2Lead will help them to raise their perspective and see themselves as well as their potential role differently.
Why should we bring our team?
Live2Lead can be a powerful shared experience. It will spur conversations among participants that will lead to positive changes and growth opportunities. Each person who attends will see things from their own unique point of view, and will be able to make a different contribution back to the group. You'll find that Live2Lead is a great way to add some team building benefits.
Can we know in advance what speakers will say?
You can be sure that leadership, motivation, building strong workplace relationships, world class strategies and tactics will be in abundance. Like every other conference that features keynote speakers, we don't know exactly what each will say during their presentation. We only know the value will be very high.
Are the speakers going to be "live" in Guam?
The main part of Live2Lead is the global broadcast which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the same program that will be viewed in 300 locations and by tens of thousands of people across the U.S. and in numerous countries around the world.
Additionally, we have planned an experiential activity and breakout sessions.
Is Live2Lead available on the Internet or TV?
No. This is an exclusive program that is presented in local communities such as Guam, through licensed organizations like Guam Training.
What about "partnership" opportunities?
There are several ways we can add value for you if you wish to increase your organization's visibility or growth. Please download partnership information by clicking here.
What do we need to bring with us?
Something to write with. An event workbook with ample space to make notes is provided.
Will you feed us?
Yes! We will provide light pastries in the morning and a delicious buffet lunch. In addition, all-day coffee, tea, and water.
How about SHRM PDCs?
The 2019 Live2Lead event has been approved for
3.75 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The credits count toward re-certification for anyone holding a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential. The necessary details for redeeming these credits will be made available upon request to anyone participating in the Live2Lead event in its entirety.
There is no additional fee required to receive the PDCs from SHRM, as The John Maxwell Company has paid the fee to be a certified provider of these PDCs.
How about CEUs ?
- .35 General CEU will be awarded. (see note below for further information)
- A certificate of completion will be sent to guests via email AND regular mail from the University of North Georgia.
- The cost to the attendee is $25.00 USD and they can pay through the website
- The John Maxwell Company will handle all details once the attendee has applied for the CEUs through the company website and has verified their attendance at the event.
- Attendees must sign up for these CEUs by March 15, 2020. Beyond that timeframe, the
CEU credits will no longer be available.
Note: Similar leadership events from Guam Training
have been certified for CEU credits by professional organizations in Guam in past years.
If you would like to receive credits for attending, please ask your certifying body to contact us at: email@example.com or 777-4100, and we will supply whatever information they require to decide how to move forward.
As for the .35 CEU for this event from the Maxwell organization, that represents the speaker segments only and do not take into consideration experiential activities and group sessions in the afternoon. Your certifying authority may recognize participation in those as qualification for additional credits.
What if we can't attend and need a refund?
1. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause an individual and even an organization to change their plans to attend. We have designed this agreement to be fair to both parties if that takes place.
2. Refund requests will usually take three business days to process. We will generally return funds in the same way you paid. In example, back through your credit card, or by check, etc.
3. Tickets refunded PRIOR TO February 20, 2020 at 5:00 pm will be paid in full, less any credit card or other
processing fees we may be assessed. We’ll tell you what they are if that happens.
4. Ticket holders requesting a refund AFTER February 20 at 5:00 pm will receive a return of funds, less $65.00 per ticket to cover food and beverage service plus administrative charges. There may also be credit card and/or other processing fees that we are assessed and must collect.
5. Explanation: We believe in being transparent in how this works. We must give the hotel a guarantee for the number of attendees seven days prior to the event and pay that money, per person, to cover the food, beverage, and venue charges. Thus, once the final attendee count is given to the hotel — at the close of business on February 20 — we must pay for all persons covered by your purchase, even for those who don't attend. This is how a hotel controls its costs and is normal in the event business. The administrative fee is incurred because we will already have printed the workbook and the certificate of professional leadership development for each attendee, and will have to process the refund.
6. In summary, if you decide to cancel your reservation and request a refund after February 20 at 5pm, we still have expenses in connection with your reservation. Therefore, you will receive a partial refund as described above. As stated, we designed this agreement to be fair to both you and us.
Can somebody else attend in our place if we can't?
Yes, tickets are transferable. However, please give us as much advance notice as possible so we can create a name tag and certificate of professional leadership development for your replacement. Email to firstname.lastname@example.org or a text to 777-4100 is preferable.
On "day of event" changes, please use text or WhatsApp to communicate with us, so we can know of and handle your request. Thanks.
Do we guarantee your results or success?
As we do not have an intimate knowledge of any ticket holder's personal capabilities, work ethic, desire to succeed, or willingness to apply the principles, strategies, tactics, thoughts and ideas presented in Live2Lead, nor do we have any type of influence over them, we do not guarantee any level of results from attending this event. Success is generated through knowledge, preparation, skill, as well as consistent effort, among other factors.
That said, we do know that attending a program such as Live2Lead, then diligently applying the valuable information learned, can certainly put one in a better position to succeed.
Who do we make checks payable to?
Guam Training. Thank you!
